While our growers are working flat out this spring, TurfBreed is too behind the scenes creating myhomeTURF DIY videos that growers can use for their business.
Filmed on Queensland’s (QLD) sunshine coast at a very happy Empire Zoysia customer’s home, the day turned into a community event with the whole street coming out to enjoy the event.
QLD Business Development Manager Dan Pieper, new to the job, was on hand to act as gopher to award winning film and documenatry director Michael Angus from Jerrycan Films.
With a background in theatre, Michael has worked across several different storytelling mediums including film, TV and live performance. In fact, Michael’s documentary films have won numerous awards, screened at festivals and with broadcasters throughout the World.
A local himself, Michael took up the challenge to produce a collection of DIY videos that can be used in different social media and website mediums.
“The day kicked-off at 7am and was led by myhomeTURF’s new DIY video star Adam Thornton from Glenview Turf,” Dan said.
“It was amazing and obvious that the whole street in the area loved their lawns so they all came out to watch and learn – there is defiantly a bit of lawn envy going on in the street.”
This first video focused on spring lawn care and mowing with plans for other videos to be filmed that complement the already existing Lawn Tips material on the myhomeTURF website.
Most importantly, more variety asset videos will be produced.
TurfBreed looks forward to growers feedback once they are released.
