As the peak body for the turf industry, Turf Australia is dedicated to representing our members, promoting the industry, and supporting those in need. The Turf Australia Member Benefit Fund has a dedicated account that assists growers and industry workers facing severe hardship.
The guidelines outlined by the Turf Australia Board ensure that each allocation of Member Benefit Funds is carefully assessed on a case-by-case basis. Requests for assistance can be made by individuals experiencing hardship, including Turf Australia Staff and members of Turf Australia. The fund is available to support those facing challenges such as the death, serious illness, or injury of owners and key staff, catastrophic business events, or other unforeseen circumstances that could potentially devastate a turf business.
We are deeply humbled by the generosity demonstrated by TurfBreed and its growers. Your donations have and will go a long way in assisting Turf Australia members and industry members in severe hardship. The maximum allocation per business/case of adversity is $5,000, with the possibility of additional funding upon a thorough review and reporting to the Board.
I just wanted to let you know that the Turf Australia Board will maintain strict confidentiality regarding all requests for Member Benefit Funds and their deliberations. A summary report, including expenses and outcomes, will be provided to the Board for every allocation of funds.
